Knowledgeable expects of this sub, I have enjoyed reading your many recommendations in preparation for our trip. I think I may have a novel question I have not seen asked here.
In a weeks time, I am renting a car in Kanazawa and driving to Shirakawa-go To spend several days in the mountains at the conclusion of my time there, I am thinking of driving to Kyoto and dropping the car off there.
I have verified that I can return the rental car in Kyoto through Toyota, but what I don't know is whether my plan is idiotic lol. Driving back to Kaizawa just to catch several trains seems to take just as much time as driving, And it sounded fun to come down out of the mountains by car… Am I making a mistake?
