I dont know who I can go to.

Please help.

  1. My understanding is that you need to go to a medical institution to get the morning after pill as it’s quite difficult to get casually in Japan.

If you pay out of pocket, not with your insurance, I believe you can remain confidential if you’re worried about it appearing on a family plan for instance. I’m actually not so sure it’s even covered by health insurance in the first place anyways.

  2. Go to a women’s clinic. Bring a man with you (in Japan you need ~the father’s consent~ so you’ll need someone to pretend to be the man you slept with). Ask for the pill. Done.

  3. I’m so sorry you are in distress… the pill is not covered by the NHI. I just googled what could be open on a Sunday and holiday and this came up: [https://www.klcs.jp/en/morningafterpill/](https://www.klcs.jp/en/morningafterpill/) You might want to give them a call if you have any doubt before going (idk where in Japan you’re located, I’d assume Tokyo), you don’t need appointment. Hope this helps.

  4. Forget about things being confidential for now, you have a time limit and a pregnancy is going to be noticed by everyone.

Call a local ob/gyn, ask if they offer the morning after pill, make an appointment asap.

Keep calling until you can find one for today.

It was about 15,000 ¥ when I got it. You may want to ask your sex partner if he will pay or contribute to it but focus on just getting it for now.

You should edit your post to show your general location so someone can offer you more specific help

  5. You can try to search “ピル (your city)” and Google should bring up some clinics that offer it near you.
It is advised to take the pill as soon as possible. For reference, it costed me 12,000 yen. Would you be able to afford it, considering you are young? I’m quite concerned.

  6. AFAIK, you can take a Plan B within 72 hrs after unprotected sex. But ofc, the sooner the better. Until then, you have to find a clinic that is open since it is a holiday tomorrow. If you are in Kansai area, I know of 2 OB/GYN that speaks English.

  7. There is a website called women in Japan they will provide you with a morning after pill. But in case it doesn’t come in time go to a women’s clinic.. any will help you.

    https://www.womenonweb.org/en/

For future reference here is the website. They provide the morning after pill to many countries around the world including Japan.

They might not get to you in time as you need to get the pill asap. But just in case apply for it and go to a womens clinic NOW.

Website: They provide both morning after pill and abortion pill

  8. Since Plan B isn’t covered by the national health insurance, I believe you’re fine without handing over your health insurance card, and thus can stay fully anonymous (**I am not sure however**). It will cost you 10,000 to 15,000 yen, roughly.

Time is of the essence. You want to search for a 産婦人科 that is open on weekends and holidays. For Tokyo for instance, searching 東京 休日 産婦人科 yielded the following:

You want to basically call a clinic that is relatively close and explain your situation. They’ve seen it all and worse before so don’t feel ashamed (really there is nothing to be ashamed of ok? Plus you’re not an idiot).

  9. You are not an idiot and your situation is also not unique. Don’t beat up yourself, you can’t change what’s happened but there is certainly help available. Your local ob/gyn will be able to help, at least to direct you to the correct location if they can’t offer the pill on site (likely they can though).

The pill is not covered by insurance and can cost 10,000-20,000. It’s only fair if your partner contributes or pays fully but worry about that later. No consent or presence is required from the partner though.

We’re in Meguro-ku and my wife has experience with Plan B and able to provide financial assistance / give a ride / translate too in case that can help. Stay safe and good luck, feel free to DM me.

  10. Hiya can I DM you? Idk if this is allowed but I have an plan B pill that I can pass you if you can’t find a place! ^_^ I’m a female student in Tokyo, and can FaceTime/zoom/etc before meeting up so it’s less suspicious, but if you’re not comfortable accepting medicine from a random stranger on the internet, no worries!!!

  11. You’re an idiot, but so is your boyfriend. I guess he insisted on not wearing one. Also, if he’s experienced, it means he had other partners without protection, which means he may also have given you an STD, which you should have checked for.

A piece of advice : it’s one thing to have unprotected sex, but if your boyfriend ejaculated inside you, it’s on him. He knew what he was doing. Get rid of that loser.
