Help: weekend ideas with 2 kids (2 and 3)

Hello, so my wife has been on my case lately since I don't bring ideas for places ro go over the weekends. If you have any resources with some ideas that that would be awesome. Googling in English just gives me results for tourists and we are just looking for some chill places to go to and have lunch and walk around.

So if you know any searching tips or any good resources that I can use that would great. Or just ideas are nice as well. Thank you in advance.

  1. Take ‘em to a park. Hiroo has a foot path that might be a bit too hard on a 2 year old without assistance, but it’s got a lot of green and I think swings and slides at the top of the hill

Alice, or arisu something. Right next to azabu intl market

  2. Kodomo no Kuni is in Yokohama but has everything and is very economical. Playgrounds, bicycle rentals, pony rides, ice skating, walking paths and much more. Also really good soft cream. A favorite in our family was the giant “cow boobies” (giant domes for bouncing and jumping).

  3. When my kids were that age, it was more about running around outside to give them plenty of exercise. We went to parks near our house, often a couple times a day, to play catch, kick balls around, climb on things, etc. As they got older, we could play badminton, toss a frisbee, throw a nerf football, etc. In the summer we always took early morning walks before breakfast. Then these became early morning bicycle rides, aka, “Dawn Patrols”. This is a pretty fun place: https://maps.app.goo.gl/JeK5EVw5En33LfLh8?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

  4. the area around Futako-Tamagawa station is pretty popular for parents and their kids. You can play by the river, take an easy walk. If you cross the bridge you can barbecue. It is pretty busy with families on the weekends, but not as crowded as some of the parks that are more central.

  5. Showa Park

    Inokashira Park

    Kinuta Park

    Kasai park

    Futakotamagawa

    Sumida riverside

Kidzania (maybe in a couple of years)

    Sanrio Puroland

  6. I know what it’s like to have little kids and having to entertain them on weekends! lol.
I second Kodomono Kuni—excellent park for kids although it’s going to be a day trip.

This is a website lists places to go with kids. I believe you can translate on your browser?

  7. It’s funny that Japan has so many 子供 places. You’re here asking where to find one.

Google 子供 on your phone. You’ll find your answers that’s not far from you

  8. Take a look at “Time Out Tokyo” website. It breaks down things to do for adults/families etc. it also breaks down free vs events with fees.
