   that’s the supposed breakdown of that word, so you can see it’s an extended – and then independent – form of the original 重い

   So if I’m holding a big box and say “this is 重たい” I’m explaining this is heavy at the same time I’m expressing my feelings which is this is heavy and it’s hard to hold
