My partner and I were going to stay in Atami for 2 nights, 3 days in November (on the way to Tokyo from Kyoto). I saw that Hakone was about 2 hours away by train.
Specifically we were really just interested in seeing Owakudani. Maybe going around the Open Air Museum if we still have energy, but also open to the idea of just going back to Atami afterwards to relax a bit before moving on to Tokyo the next day. Is this a good idea?
