Hi, Reddit. I would like to inquire about working in Japan
Here is my introduction
Now 29-year-old native Chinese
Obtained a Master's degree in Remote Sensing from a 985 Project University
( Top 20 in China,QS Ranking around 400)
I have about 2 million yen in my own savings, and my family is willing to support me by providing an additional 5 million yen
Had JLPT N1
Although the Chinese are the largest number of foreigners working in Japan, there are many fraudsters and even an industry chain dedicated to cheating fellow villagers, so I come to Reddit to ask
There are two main reasons why I want to come to Japan
Firstly, the current working environment in China is not very good.
My major usually involves military or government departments, and overtime and business trips are very common.
Moreover, I am not very fond of this type of work content
Besides, I have always loved Japanese manga and anime since I was young
When I was in graduate school, I started researching Japanese language papers in this field and decided to make it my lifelong hobby.
I have found that there are many materialss that can only be accessed in Japan.
Similar to some Chinese who choose to move to Japan just to raise owls/ride motorcycles which is illegal in China····
My current doubts
The global job market is in recession, what is the situation in Japan?
Is it difficult for older foreigners to find jobs?
Due to industry limitations, I decide to choose a new major. Which industry in Japan is not saturated in the market?
Most of my friends and classmates with similar backgrounds who went to work in Japan have gone to IT related industries. I also plan to choose another industry, but I am not quite sure about the specific job market in Japan's IT industry.
Should I read another master's degree in Japan? Or something else?
