Confused about luggage shinkansen size + ettiquete

Hi all, I have a fairly large luggage I'll be bringing with me to japan.
I plan to ride public transit aswell as the shinkansen.
I have the north face large duffel bag for my bag that I fill 75% full (40.64 cm x 71.12 cm x 40.64 cm total 152). It usually weighs 30-40 lbs which I can easily handle (I do lots of weightlifting).
This is below the 160cm rule, but it's just barely.

1. Do I need to reserve a large luggage on shinkansen for this bag size + weight?
2. Considering the shinkansen luggage area is only 41cm, should I strap this onto the luggage area?
3. Can I bring this bag size + a backpack (on front) on city pubic transit bus/trains, or would it be considered very rude?
