Japanese storybook games with full audio?

Hello, does anyone know any beginner storybook games with full audio? I’m thinking like [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSvBdjhpa-s), but obviously in Japanese.

I’ve looked at the *DS Dengeki Bunko* series which is similar to what I’m looking for, but I’d like it to be completely or almost completely voiced, as I just switch off if there’s no audio. (Hence why I hate normal books, lol)

Ideally for DS/3DS, but any console is okay. Stuff that seems a bit childish is also fine! (I can read kanji, but I’m coming back to Japanese after a long break so trying to ease into it and avoid anything too intimidating.)

  1. It’s not voiced, but if you like the Final Fantasy series, the DS game Chocobo Tales (チョコボ 魔法の絵本) is very good. I played it as a kid, and plan on getting a Japanese copy to help me study. You can get a Japanese copy off eBay for about $10-35 (depends on if you care about having a case). It’s a very cute storybook game where you play as a Chocobo. Your chocobo friends were all trapped inside an evil storybook, so you have to clear minigames to free them. At the end of each game you unlock a story that you can go back and read at any time. They’re just children’s folk tales with FF lore (i.e. “The Boy who Cried Leviathon”, “The Ugly Chocoling”, “The Adamantine Tortoise and the Cactuar”, etc.). And like I said, I played this for the first time as a really little kid. I think I was in 2nd grade? So the grammar is incredibly basic and easy! Honestly, I think this was the only “book” my mom could get me to read back then! XD

Anyways, this video shows basically the tutorial for the game and the first book if you’re interested: [チョコボと魔法の絵本 Nintendo DS Games](https://youtu.be/e1Om-wWEsCE)

    頑張って!

  2. I’ve seen YouTube videos like that (eg look up ももたろう or other stories like that). Idk about games

  3. Oh, I found a Japanese version of the game in the video I linked! I thought it looked a bit suspicious, the Japanese series is called “Kodomo no Tame no Yomi Kikase: Ehon de Asobou X-Kan” (for DS). It has a bilingual version of the stories (with English audio), or a plain Japanese version with Japanese audio. All without kanji from the looks of it unfortunately, but it is aimed at young kids.
