Need advice on choosing student life

Hello everyone.

If my dream is to live in Japan and work there, how important would it be to get into a Japanese university? I plan next year to get into a fairly prestigious university in Ukraine with a degree in programming (Mechnikov University) and study Japanese in paid courses, and it will be much less expensive than trying to get into any Japanese university (considering that I don’t even know the Japanese language now ), but as far as I know, a Japanese diploma can play a role when applying for a job.

Should I follow my plan, or since I dream of going to Japan, should I try my best to get into a Japanese university right away anyway?

  1. I don’t think Japan really cares if you studied here or abroad, what’s important is that you have a bachelor’s degree and job offer here when you apply for a visa
