I have been in Japan for the past 2 weeks as a new student and i wanted to ask about Japan Post Bank Accounts. I recently opened one but i heard they do not allow overseas remittance until 6 months.

I have used Transferwise in the past to send money to Japanese friends but can i use it to send money to my Japan post office bank account. I heard it is possible as they remitted as domestic transfers.

Any help on this would be appreciated?

yes you can. just add the account as a normal sending destination. it will be a domestic transfer.
