Can you buy groceries there on that day? The only reason I’d go to buy out all the bacon they have. 🙂
(Or if you know a place to get raw bacon in Japan, I’d be all ears.)
Last time I went was maybe 7 or 8 years ago. It was crowded but not much more than you’d expect from a festival. Getting in took ages but it was a lot of fun. So many stalls serve turkey leg for some reason but there were other stalls like pizza, bbq, hot dogs and cocktails. Also bazaar type stalls.
I don’t remember too many specifics but I remember a kite bird flew down and snatched some pizza out of a nearby woman’s hand so be careful.
I went by train so can’t say if car is better but I wouldn’t drive there.
