  1. Still don’t understand why NJPW would have Tama Tonga win it only to drop it to Karl and probably know that Karl had IMPACT WRESTLING dates and not even consider to have him defend it on the show. Karl hasn’t done anything with it since winning it. And he’s facing Tanahashi coming up. Tanahashi will get the championship.

  2. Lol no, if there’s one dead title in NJPW right now it’s the KOPW trophy. Shingo doesn’t bring it to the ring anymore and i don’t think neither him or ELP teased stipulations for a potential match.

  3. Karl Anderson’s booking/performance has been lackluster at best. This title should be on someone like Cobb or Sho.

  4. Is it baffling booking? Absolutely. As mentioned it made no real sense and it’s a waste to not at least defend it in Impact a time or two. That said NEVER title’s importance ebbs and flows imo. Sometimes it’s the strong style title and sometimes Cobb wins it cause the you wanna start the MSG show hot and he will lose it to Taichi a month later.

Idk, I guess it just doesn’t feel like something to stress over to me but I totally get the frustration.

  5. The NEVER Openweight Title died on the day that Hiroshi Tanahashi won it for the first time. It lost everything that made it special and became something else.

  6. I never understood what point of Never titles is isn’t it supposed to be any weight class can fight for them?
