Hey everyone,
A while ago I remember learning about special traditional feativals in Japanese culture that were meant to show the people’s frustration with the Gods’ deeds (aka during heavy drought seasons, poor agricultural yields etc)
I think it said they hold torches in the festival in order to ‘ward off evil’.
Is anyone familiar with this concept? What is it called? I’d be interested to hear more for research purposes.
