Hello. I’m planning a trip back home with japanese wife. I have the three vaccinations done in Japan, so currently I dont need to do the 72hs prior PCR test to enter Japan again.
But my wife has not a single vaccine, and I’m having issues finding a place that fills the government form in a timely manner. If the form is invalid for any reason, what would happen if a japanese national receives a 上陸拒否? Will se be sent back on a plane… where exactly? Will she have to wait in Narita airport? Im having trouble trying to find information in the case of nationals. Common sense tells me you cant be rejected entry into your own country… but this is Japan so not sure.

Thank you

She won’t be able to board the plane in the first place.
If she got a negative PCR and has the test result paper, you can print the form yourself from the J gov’t website and fill it out using the info. from the test.
The clinic we got our PCRs done at wanted an extra $75 each to fill out the form for us, so I opted to fill it out myself. In our case all the info needed for the form was also on our test results, but the airline did want to see the form before we could check in for our flight to Japan.
They didn’t cancel the request for PCR test few weeks ago?
And if still yes you need to use the application sosjapan.
Best is check on gov website.
