Working holiday visa

Working holiday visa application

Hi guys i have a serious question about working holiday visa. TLDR i was visiting my family in indonesia. I am an australian citizen. One week before my flight back to australia covid happened and all flights were cancelled and airport was closed. I couldn’t find a flight back within the limit of my visa. As a result, when i managed to find a flight back and reported back to the immigration i ended up with “deportation” stamp on my passport. My question is, will this cause my working holiday visa application to be rejected? I tick the yes on box that asked if i gave ever been deported from japan or any other country. I have a good, valid explanation for the deportation which I’ve written down on my application but i cant help but have a bad feeling still. My visa appointment is in 6 days and I can’t sleep and am having serious anxiety. If anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it 😭

  1. You’re sure that you were deported and not given a departure order? They are two very different circumstances that will impact you in two very different ways.

If you were indeed deported, and this was the first time that it happened, you cannot re-enter Japan for five years from the date of deportation, which would obviously cause issues in your scenario.

If I’m going to be honest though, it sounds like you’re either confused or omitting and misrepresenting some substantial details.
