If I open an account with Sony Bank, for instance. I know I can do it online no problem. Is there a timeframe that I need to add money into the account orcan I wait the month for my next paycheck deposit? I think its time to have something other than this JPost account I’ve had for 4 yrs now.

Probably should not be an issue if it’s just a month.
The only concern would be having enough funds in the account to deal with the monthly maintanance fee if there is one.
Now my stupid question, how long do we have before we need to prepare the divorce lawyer?

I did like you , switched from JP to Sony. Great except my water company doesn’t accept “online banks” for automatic payments because why the fuck not.
I think you usually have to put *something* in, ¥500 or whatever
