Okay so I’ve wanted to learn Japanese for a long long time. I have no background in it whatsoever apart from the odd YouTube video that’s buried in my mind somewhere.
But I think the language is absolutely beautiful. Every phrase is utter music to my ears and to learn and understand it would be absolutely amazing.
So if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be awesome. I’m not able to put money towards it at the moment which makes it rather difficult but I am willing to sit on a Facebook Messenger call or discord or whatever necessary to learn.
I did learn very very basic Indonesian in high school but that’s long gone now. But aside from that I’ve got no Asian speaking background.
I am very good with accents though which helps a lot in learning. I had a French housemate for a few months who taught me a couple things and she said the accent work helps her to understand what I’m saying as well as makes it easier to transition the voice so that words roll off the tongue easier.
Anyway! Any help is really appreciated.

The starter’s guide in the sidebar is where I’d begin
I studied Japanese in Oz, there are a number of good university programs and courses to get started depending on which state you’re in.
