Hello, I’ll be travling to japan like the title says and I have made a very eary/barebones itinerary with a general idea of some things I would like to see/do and I am open to any suggestions people have for me. I am traveling alone and I enjoy things like anime, videogames, shrines/temples, food experiences, wild life, and experiences I can’t get outside of Japan. Please if you have any suggestions on what a first timer should do let me know.

You cant go to Kyoto and not go to Kiyomizudera + ninenzaka road
Club Sega arcades don’t exist anymore, but many of them, including the ones in Shinjuku are still operating under the name GiGo.
For Tokyo, you might want to decide on what particular tourist attractions to visit and plan the districts around that. For example, you could visit Asakusa and/or Ueno on the same day as Skytree since they’re relatively close. I personally feel that knowledge of which districts are close together and how to get to them is more important than an itinerary, but it’s still good to have an idea of what you want to do.
As for Nara, Todaiji-temple is a must-see. If you love a small hiking, Mt.Wakakusa (It’s more like a hill) is also a good option (You can see the beautiful view of Nara from the top of the hill).
