I hate this so much and just wondered if anyone else deals with/has known this weird internet situation before.
My first apartment here had free wifi, but it was literally a case of plugging in a router you buy yourself and that’s it, done.
The mansion I’m in now also has free wifi, but it’s different. You plug a router in just like the last place but every time you connect you have to register with the apartments wifi service, which is separate from the router registry.
My phone finds the actual mansion network (which doesn’t work) or the name of the router which does work, but when I connect to that a page opens for the mansions service to login.
I appreciate it’s all confusing and I barely know how to explain it myself but I just wondered if this sounds familiar to anyone?
Also please don’t Japanlife me with ‘how about going to a technician instead of asking reddit nawawww!?!?!?’
I’m not expecting a fix, just a general response to see if anyone’s been here before.
