I’m an alpine historian looking for information on some early 20th century climbs done by an American woman in Japan. The Japanese Alpine Club has not been able to provide me with much information, so I’m hoping to find some mention of her in Japanese news archives.
She was a bit of a press magnet at the time and she played a role in welcoming Japanese climbers into the Alpine Club of Canada membership rolls, so I think she may have been mentioned in the papers.
Is there a (paid) service that will search the archives for such articles?
