Before moving here, I lived far enough away that typhoons and hurricanes didn’t affect me outside of the news/asking neighbors how do I know how bad a typhoon will be/how to prepare. I currently live in Kashiwa, but I was wondering if there was an app or website I could use to see how bad it’ll be

NHK will have all relevant information. NHK is almost always the best source of all information when disaster happened.
JMA site will have prediction and everything, but can be hard to to read sometimes.
weathernews japan is also pretty good. Also Yahoo Weather.
[windy.com](https://windy.com) have quite nice interface, and you can pick between the type of prediction.
enable the hurricane tracker, also enable the wind gusts
