Fill-in-the answer Anki decks?

Hello, I’m about to finish the decks on the other apps I have been using. Are there any more Anki decks that require you to fill up the answer? I find that this is the most effective way for me to learn.

Also, whats easiest way to learn JLPT grammar? I estimate my skills to be somewhere between N4 and N3, while my vocab is already at N1.

(Currently using Torii SRS and Wanikani Anki Deck ATM)

Are you asking about decks that require you to type in the answer or do you mean cards with cloze sentences? If it is the former, then you can change any deck yourself by simply putting “type:” in front of the field name (i.e. put {{type:<BackFieldName>}} on the front of the card).

  2. I put fields in Anki that required typing in English definitions and kana pronunciations. That was a neat trick.

However, reviews took a lot more time than just saying the answer out loud and manually scoring.

Worse, I didn’t sense typing helped me to retain information. Techniques like visualising the answer, saying the answer out loud, writing the answer with a pencil on paper were more helpful for me.
