First time to Japan!!! (12/26-1/6/23)
Hello,
We are super excited to be going to Japan finally! We were set to go in 2020 and we all know what happened. I’ve been doing some research and things may be closed during the holidays. We definitely want to go to Disneyland/Sea, (So that’s 2 days) Studio Ghibli Museum, Osaka and Kyoto. We have an apartment in Akihabra that we want to use like a basecamp and get hotels in Osaka and Kyoto. Also, out of Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. Which would be the best to celebrate New Years? I’d like to go to a shrine but the crowds look insane. But I want to wake up early and welcome the new year. Below is our tentative itinerary for our stay. Any suggestions and advice would greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance!
12/27- Arrive @5a and make our way to apartment in Hatchobori by 7a. Settle in and go explore what’s around us and maybe Akihabra if we are up for it..
12/28-Disney Sea
12/29-Disneyland
12/30-Explore Shinjuku and Harajuku
12/31-Take JR to Osaka and maybe Universal
1/1- Watch the sun rise and explore Osaka
1/2-Take JR to Kyoto and explore
1/3-Explore Kyoto and take the last JR back to Tokyo
1/4-If we can get tickets go to the Ghibli Museum
1/5-Go to Odiba and any other place we want to explore further.
1/6-Get to Haneda airport early and hangout there.
