Heading to a LIVE first time what should I be aware of?

I will be heading to the Anne Marie Live next month and it’s gonna be the first LIVE I’m gonna be attending in Tokyo, I am aware that it will be a standing LIVE but I’m wondering how many hours before the opening time (18:00) should I line up in order to atleast be in the middle of the crowd or if possible the front area?

All tickets are the same price, there are no VIP tickets so I think it will be possible to get to the front area if I get there early.

Also I will be heading there alone and I’m a girl, I’m wondering if it’s going to be safe or should I try to find a group I can go with?

Thank you to anyone who’ll respond.

  1. Your ticket will have a number on it and that’s fine order you have to wait to get in. They’ll call out blocks of 10 and you can’t get in until your number is called.

  2. Just looked up where it’s going to be (since you didn’t mention it) and Toyosu PIT, at least the last time I was there pre-2020, is pretty flat so visibility of the stage might not be the best. However, even if your entry number is in the low 100s-200s, you should be able to see decently if you’re around average height (for Japan).

Haven’t been to many large venues post-2020 but you can probably put down a bag to save your spot when you go to the toilet or merch table. Look to see what others are doing to double-check. Chances of your things getting taken should be fairly low.

Have your drink ticket money (¥600) ready when you go in. Don’t be that person digging though every pocket on them only to whip out a ¥1000 or worse yet, ¥10,000 bill for the venue staff to break down. Get your drink as soon as possible because the counter will shut down pretty quickly after the show ends.

Sketchy part of going out there is the walk to the station from the venue, but there should be a big enough crowd to provide security in numbers.

Trying to get people to come with, especially if they aren’t fans, is more trouble than it’s worth. I have had enough annoyances getting people to even “free” (drink charge only) lives before to where I don’t bother anymore.
