I’d recommend for everyone to watch his match with Tanahashi from 2011 in Kobe.
It’s so intense and they work the crowd so incredibly, by the end of the match they were so loud and it felt like the roof was about to blow off. Incredible match.
Who?
Yes
Pains me that WWE absolutely butchered him, man would’ve been the best part of that company.
Yes! And I also miss the IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
Yes
nope cause i see him most weeks in WWE 🤷🏻♂️
Yes.
He’s been relegated to backstage extra. 😔
Honestly? Not really. Once I saw that he was enjoying surfing in Florida I kinda just let him go in my mind
No.
I’ve never been into him, and his absence left room for new guys to step up.
hes in his “get paid” era. hard to get mad about that. easy to get sad tho.
He’ll eventually return. He’ll retire in New Japan.
Yep.☹️
Yeah but then i see him surfing and can’t be mad.
This dude is a stooge.
I wonder what happened to him, just suddenly stopped being in the show
I do. Ever since I stopped watching WWE but even in WWE I miss THIS Shinsuke, the king of strong style.
Some people might not even understand what this picture entails but for those who might not know, NJPW (kinda) newbie Kota Ibushi was set to challenge for the IWGP Intercontinental championship. A belt that overtime became part of one person, Shinsuke Nakamura.
Kota was fighting the King on his stage, at his arena. But as Shinsuke’s music starts playing, we start seeing something different on the stage screens. It’s not the name or moniker of the King, but rather, poker cards. As each card starts turning around, a story is told. Every single former Intercontinental champion, including those who Shinsuke beat for the belt in the past, are part of the deck being shown with Shinsuke in the middle dancing as he usually did.
And then suddenly a final card is shown, telling a story not of the past, but of the future. The final card shows Kota Ibushi’s portrait as a foretold story before it even began. Shinsuke enters the arena and ring, showing everyone in just a few minutes, why he is the King of Strong Style.
This was my first WK and I’ll never forget seeing Shinsuke’s entrance for the first time. It’s everything wrestling and it’s supposed to be and more.
Shit stain knock a moron?
No because I’m glad he’s enjoying his time in WWE.
Only on days I wake up.
But if he’s happy then you gotta accept it.
Yeah, I thought he was gonna jump back to NJPW, but is sticking with WWE.
Either way, hard not to love that guy.
Everyday
Not really. But I do miss the belt he’s wearing.
Every single fucking day
no one else is quite this gloriously extra
So much
He’s wasting away right now in WWE yeah
in 2015 Shinsuke was my favorite wrestler, so yes
Yes wwe has wasted him since his main roster call up in 2017 he was amazing in nxt but started off good on the main roster until that shitty heel turn in njpw he was one of the best IC champions ever and the fans loved him so i would love for him to show up in njpw again one day if he decides to go back if he gets released or asks for his release
Yes… and I started watching 6 months after he left lol
Fuck yes I do! Who doesn’t? He’s been wasted, completely wasted for at least three solid years. Probably four at this point.
even though he should have have been WWE champion at least once but I would like to see his last run being in NJPW again
yes and I think he would’ve won the IWGP heavyweight title 1 or 2 more times and he probably would’ve entered a fued with Naito over the IC championship. AJ probably would’ve beaten him for the IC belt at some point if he stayed too
Yes
Hell yeah !
For some reason I thought that was Baron Corbin dressed up as Shinsuke. Idk why.
