Does anyone collect hand drawn Japanese animation cells?

I just bought my first one and I was looking for shops in Tokyo that can sale or give advice for storing it. Any advice would be great and appreciated.

  1. There are a few shops in Nakano Broadway that sell them and might be able to give you some tips for storage.

  2. I always wondered about these. They have to be mass produced / reproductions in some way and not from the actual works right? I’m aware that obviously there would be a -lot- of cells from traditional production (24x the length of the feature in seconds) but there seem to be limitless amounts of key frames being sold from famous scenes that there can’t be only a few thousand of those around right?
