i don’t quite understand them yet, so it’s hard for me to recognize them (i can recognize the most basics), is there any list complete with them? i use genki 1 to study! i know there are a lot there, but i was curious if a list exists.
Yeah there aren’t just specific hiragana words as the entire language can be written in hiragana as the other commenter said. One reason they choose not to do this and opt for kanji supplemented with hiragana and furigana is because using hiragana alone to write everything would make it one extremely long, hard to read mess.
What you’re looking for are lists of beginner vocabulary words that are written in hiragana. Go to YouTube and search for the Japanese Apple channel. I can’t recommend them enough. They have playlists made for hiragana, katakana, kanji and vocab .etc The hiragana playlist is the one you’ll wanna check out. They present a word in hiragana, give you time to read it on your own, and then present the answer aloud.
