Question about Yakkan Shoumei and meds

I came to Japan a few weeks ago and was in the process of getting medication for ADHD, but it was held up by complications with another medication I was taking at the time and they weren’t able to sort it out before I left. I’m hearing that I may have to go through the whole diagnosis journey again here and that it could take some months, so considering I’m now in a position to take these meds, would it be legal for a family member to mail them to me from the UK if I applied for a Yakkan Shoumei? I know certain meds such as adderall aren’t allowed.

  1. Yakkan Shoumei is only for medications that you have on your person at the time you go through customs. It cannot cover anything being mailed to you.
