Hi, I’ve been studying for several years by painstakingly creating my own vocabulary lists using my own scripts and some oldschool tools. I am aware of a setup for running yomichan on android, but I would like to do the same on my iPhone. I would like to watch anime, read manga, and maybe some J-drama and probably some random stuff like websites. Is there a yomichan-like mining solution for the iPhone?

Like you I also prefer to do it all on the iphone/ipad but so far I couldn’t find any. I even bought the full-priced Anki mobile app on iOS.
I eventually gave up and switched to the PC for yomichan. I dedicate one day a week to go to the PC and mine words to Anki. Books that I read on PDF for example, I use the PC to OCR and then Yomichan to Anki. Animelon can save words for you in your account and it works on iOS. On the PC I log into the animelon, download the list of words and use Yomichan to export to Anki that way.
Not currently, but I am aware of someone who is currently developing one. Perhaps you will see a post from them here in the near future.
