Choosing a Japanese Language School. Experience of those who’ve attended FFLC, ISI or Communica?

Hello,

I have been attempting to learn Japanese through self study over the last year or so and have recently become interested in attending a Japanese Language school, but am struggling to choose what school I’d want to attend.

The 3 I am trying to decide between are Fukuoka Foreign Language College, ISI in Tokyo at the Takadanobaba or Ikebukuro Campus, or Communica Institute in Kobe.

I think I may like the cities of Fukuoka or Kobe over Tokyo given their smaller size and closer proximity to nature. However, I assume that most of my time will be spent in or around the language school and I will rely on it for assistance with administrative things when I get there.

With that in mind, I was wondering if anyone had any experience at any of these schools? If so I would love to hear your experience with the school and what you thought of it to try and understand what my experience may be like.

Thanks!

  1. Can you specify your questions and goals?

I’m studying at ISI in Tokyo, but I don’t know what to tell you since I don’t have any comparison with other schools you mentioned. You can just send me a PM if you want.
