Have started the search for an engagement ring.
One element I was hoping to maybe find is a jeweler that perhaps responsibly sources their stuff, or a portion of the proceeds goes to support an organization that is helping a good cause related to protecting animals or the environment as this is something that is important to my girlfriend.
So wanted to reach out and see if anyone else had similar goals and maybe stumbled on something that might make my search a bit easier.

Sorry, you can’t save the environment by buying stuff.
I’m sure you can Google and find out more, but diamonds/precious metal mining is awful for the environment and the people who live there.
How about a used/vintage piece?
Sorry in advance but…
Start the timer! 😂
Make sure the diamond is gluten free and get it from an authorized halal dealer.
You could buy moissanite, which is man made, nearly as hard as a diamond, and has more sparkle.
Don’t get a diamond then and try to work with a small shop not one of the big brands. Look up moissanite if you really want a diamond or go for another stone. Maybe look into second hand rings?
