Did you just have this? It’s big news over here how they’re not catching any sanma this year and the price for them is skyrocketing due to the shortage.
I haven’t had one in a while but it’s also said they’re skinnier this year
Wow that looks great! I was at Shinjuku Isetan yesterday and their sanma was way smaller and cost 900 JPY EACH! I guess it’s not a crazy price for a whole fish but sanma isn’t exactly 高級魚.
