How I Study Japanese

I started learning Japanese years ago when I was 16. Then I fell off of it, but I mostly played my games in Japanese, listening to some of the things that were said.
I played a lot of Capcom vs Snk 2 growing up, so I learned words from there as well.
I didn’t really take it seriously up until my mid twenty’s
And I’ve been playing a Japanese flashcard game called kana mind to help me learn the alphabet, both of them in fact. Now I still use it on and off, combined with tabotoko Japanese dictionary, and Tae Kim’s guide to Japanese apps all on my phone, and I recently picked up genki on pdf. Am I on the right track?
