31-Day Itinerary Check


After looking around online for better routes, I changed some things and was hoping someone could see if there’s anything wrong with this.

Open to any suggestions, reviews, or changes!

## Day 1-6: Tokyo

Day 1:

\~14:00 – Land in **Narita**

Check in to the hotel at Asakusa and explore Tokyo for the day

Day 2:

Start at **Harajuku Station** \> Meiji Shrine > Samurai Museum > Takeshita Street > Omotesando > Explore Shibuya > Explore Shinjuku

Day 3:

Start at **Asakusa Station** \> Kaminarimon Gate > Nakamise Dori > Explore Sensoji Temple > Sumida River Boat Ride > Hama Rikyu Garden > Miraikan > Edo-Tokyo Museum

Day 4:

Start at **Kamakura** \> Enoshima > Enoshima Aquarium > Free time for whatever comes up

Day 5:
Freetime for anything > Yokohama?

Day 6:

Free time > Kawagoe?

## Day 7: Tokyo to Hakone (Romance Car)

Day 7:

Explore Hakone > Old Tokaido Road & Onsen

## Day 8-13: Kyoto & Nara

Day 8:

Depart for Kyoto in the mornings > Check-in hotel > Fushimi Inari

Day 9:
Free time day > Daigoji Temple

Day 10:

Eastern Kyoto Full Day

Day 11:
Freetime for anything

Day 12:

Start at Kinkakuji > Ryoanji > Ninnaji

Day 13:

Daytrip to Nara > TBD > Hōryū-ji

## Day 14-15: Mount Koya

Explore Mount Koya > Stay overnight at Temple

Day 15:

Mount Koya > leave for Osaka at noon

## Day 15-16: Osaka

Day trip to Himeji Castle

## Day 17: Travel to Hiroshima

  1. Your Tokyo leg, particularly Days 2 and 3, is a bit ambitious. I would try to aim for 2-3 main spots per day and take into account the need for food and sitting breaks. Shinjuku and Shibuya are both pretty massive and you probably won’t see either of them in any detail if you try to do them on the same day. Either narrow it down to certain parts of the districts that you’d like to see, or redistribute it to the other days.

    Edo-Tokyo museum is closed for now, I believe. Which is almost fortunate, because I doubt you’d have enough hours in the day to see all the other stuff on day 3 as well as that…

    Otherwise the logical order going between cities seems good.
