disclaimer: I’ve looked through past posts about this but people are constantly coming and going and others might not have seen them, so i figured a new one wouldn’t hurt.

Been getting into Warhammer (AoS and 40k) recently but mostly just collecting and painting. I want to start playing but I don’t know anyone that is both into that sort of thing and is willing to put in the time and money investment.
There are plenty of Warhammer stores in Kanto but honestly I’d rather get a more casual group going than do tournaments and stuff.

Anybody else getting into the hobby and trying to get a group together? I’d personally be down for most anything (AoS, 40k, Killteam, Underworld) and making some friends.

The GW stores have a pretty relaxed play (although models have to be 100% GW). Go along to a store. Start playing and you’ll find a group (that plays elsewhere too).
Failing that look at your local community center.
There’s a group called Tokyo Tactical on Facebook that plays GW games. I think they play a mix of regular games and tournaments. Not sure how often they play though.
There are the GW stores, but also other places like Arrows or Yellow Submarine or Roll l& Dice. I remember always seeing people in Arrows.
Don’t play anymore, left everything back home, but I heard they are going to open a warhammer café in Akihabara soonish, too, so there is definitely activity.
Use twitter. Japanese 40k players communicate mostly via twitter.
You can also talk to your local GW store manager and tell them you are interested in games. Most GW stores have some sort of comminication channel (twitter / line) where they can put the word out.
Also, go to gw stores on weekends. Best time to get pick up games.
