Reasons for Taking PR in Japan

I would like to ask you guys for your reasons on why you took PR here in Japan. I couldnt write my own because of my strange circumstances, I was born poor and fatherless. I grew up under my grandma and grandda. me mum came here in japan to find some work. She then had a family of her own yet she still tended to us in our 3rd world country. helped me finish my education until highschool in which i decided to help her and work here in japan. 6 Years passed and now im 24 in good terms with me mum’s family. Today im trying my chances on getting myself PR. but i dont know what to write about the reason why i came here. please if you guys have time it would really help me to get some ideas. Thank you !

  1. Do you qualify by spouse, 10 years in Japan, or the point system? If not, you should probably check out an immigration lawyer if you have any other special circumstances. If you don’t have any qualifying circumstances, you should probably wait to apply (based on other threads that applying too early can cause trouble in later applications)

  2. Personally I’d keep it somewhat generic…. that you’ve been here in Japan for awhile, maybe you have close friends and family here, you’re looking to settle down in Japan and start your career here, to be able to get a mortgage and buy a house someday, contribute / give back to Japanese society, etc.

Basically the same answers as practically everyone else looking to get a PR in Japan.

I’d probably leave out details that are too personal (like your childhood circumstances) or anything that would invite additional questions / scrutiny from immigration.
