Greetings!
I bought a new galaxy phone (docomo) secondhand because I’m with softbank and they don’t offer galaxy option.
I’ve disabled and turned off notifications for those that I can, but there are still two notifications that pop up once or twice a day that I can’t get rid of:
1) “update failed” asking me to register an account
2) “osusume app” – which is particularly frustrating because I couldn’t find anything on the internet about this particular irritation.
I know there are apps I can download for bloatware, but it seems I would have to pay and I’m not even sure they work on japanese phones. (Also, I’m worried about blocking the one app I do want: the emergency alerts)
Anyone have experience or advice with this issue?

emergency alerts are part of the core android system and cannot be disabled by uninstalling some app, no problem there. there’s a main toggle in settings somewhere for this.
As far as I remember, all docomo bloatware *can* be disabled under settings/apps. You’ll get the usual warning about “system may not work bla bla” but just ignore it and move on.
I googled about the app thing and found this – https://stepuptips.com/content/utility/docomo-notification-off.html
