I have been learning Japanese for 1 or 2 months and while i can somewhat watch easy anime fine, finding reading material for my current level is really hard.
The exception is Crystal Hunters, i love it so much, it´s perfect for my current level since i can understand 95% of the volumes, but since it´s quite short i only have 1 volume left….

So, does anyone have recommendations for reading material at the same level of crystal hunters? (I know about yotsubato already).

Crystal Hunters is amazing as a manga specifically written for Japanese learners. It is the only project that has done it that successfully, but there are two more that come to mind.
The first one is [Manga Expressions by Scene](https://anime-manga.jp/en/expressions-by-scene). They have 4 short manga series of different genres and add translations, voice acting, sound effects and even cultural notes to every page. It’s an amazing project but rather small: each Manga only has like 30 pages.
The other one is [エリンが挑戦](https://www.erin.jpf.go.jp/) which was originally a series of video lessons, but it has a [manga page](https://www.erin.jpf.go.jp/materials/basic/download/erin_lesson01_basic_manga.pdf) for every lesson as well. The sound file for the video lessons can be used to read along with the speech bubbles and it’s a really cool project with many familiar situations for learners. However, it is read left to right and difficult to find by navigating the page.
Both of these projects are developed by the Japan Foundation by the way, which makes Crystal Hunters as a private passion project even more impressive.
