My wife is addicted to Crane Games and always want to bring me there. I think she’s in a secret cult worshipping Pikachu plushes. Help
Does this have something to do with the revelations unfolding around the LDP and their dubious entanglements with the Unification Church?
As for personal encounters specifically, not for some while now.
Which is something of a shame.
I’ve been a student and lay practitioner of *Shinto* for a long time.
As a result I’ve had occasion for interesting discussions with station-side proselytizers of the “New Religions” from time to time.
The Mt. Fuji cult people were gathered around my local station the other day and I wound up being approached by one of them while waiting to cross the street with my bike. She was trying to give me one of their newspapers(?), and I just told her “その漢字読めない” and crossed the street as soon as the light changed. I live in a smaller city, so it was a little surprising to see a small crowd of them standing there.
Not much of a story. I was waiting for my friend in Yoyogi park last Sunday and a couple of, I presume, Korean girls approached me and showed me a Google translated Korean to English web page with a wall of text. I only read the first line, “do you know when Jesus birthday is?” and I told them to fuck off (politely)
