November 2022 Trip – family of four

Hi everyone!

We are a young family of four (two young children) from New Zealand travelling to Japan for the first time. Just need some advice for our itinerary please.

**Rough plan so far:**

**03/11** \- fly into Tokyo – Staying in Airbnb in Shinjuku, relax and get over jet lag

**04/11** \- Akihabara, Senso Ji temple, Kaminarimon Gate at night, dinner in area.

**05/11** \- Use JR pass to Osaka – staying in airbnb in Osaka

**06/11** \- Osaka Castle, Dotonbori, Nanba

**07/11** \- JR pass to Kyoto, Gion, Yasaka Shine, Fushimi Inari Taisha or Kiyomizu-Dera.

**08/11** \- USJ full day

**09/11**\- JR Pass to Fukuoka – staying 1 night airbnb

**10/10** \- Fly out of Fukuoka to Bangkok, Thailand

**29/11** \- Fly in from Bangkok back to Tokyo, staying in a hotel near Nakai Station

**30/11** \- Shinbuya, Hachiko memorial statue, Harajuku, Meiji Jungu, Yoyogi park.

**01/12** \- Teamlabs borderless, Kidzania, Hamarikyu Gardens

**02/12** \- Ueno Park, open day

**03/12** \- Shinjuku or Shinbuya shopping, souvenirs shopping.

**04/12** \- Fly back to New Zealand

**Just some questions:**

Are there some great children’s attractions or playgrounds/parks that are highly recommended?

Is the express pass worth it for USJ? We will be going on the 8th of November.

We love Studio Ghibli movies so much and were guttered to hear the themepark and museum would probably not be possible. Is there shops or some place we can enjoy Ghibli 🙂
