I plan on becoming a police officer in the states, but after I get my degree I would like to live in Japan for a year. Is there any work I can do with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice? Or should I just apply to a US government job in Japan. I am also a veteran so I get more possibilities of the US government hiring me.

We like to shit on the English education industry, but if you’re only looking to spend a year before going home and starting your career there isn’t anything wrong with being an ALT or working in an eikaiwa.
Be an alt. It barely registers ad work and you get to experience Japan.
Apply for the JET program and go teach English for a year.
