For me I have my regulars….every year McDonalds does a white cheese double cheeseburger….fucking delightful…….and the black thunder mcflurry is also a banger
Also, Aisu no Mi (アイスの実) Does a blood orange flavor every year….fucking amazing
The ones that I ate a few times, and haven’t seen in years, and ripped out my fucking heart
7-11 – Pastrami and honey mustard sandwich – sweet fucking god damn that sandwich was fantastic
Aisu no Mi – Ume flavor – That shit turned me on to Japanese ice cream
McDonalds cheese fries, when I first moved here in 2014 they had a promo at mcdonalds where they gave you a little cup of processed cheese you could pour on your fries, and I used to bring it home and nuke it for 10-15 seconds, that shit, was the reason I decided to live in Japan until I die

So how about you guys, who is “the one that got away”

Bangers and mash!
Although it comes back every year thereabouts….The Kirin orange chu-hai which is about 4% ABV but upwards of 25%果汁.
Lawson also had a good danish bread item back in 2014/15 which appeared but was never seen again…
About four years ago, Mr Donut had a Halloween donut that was filled with apple jelly. It was absolutely godly. Every year since they’ve brought back all the other sub-par Halloween flavors but that one was never seen again.
Keio bakery chain Le Repas has a monthly rotation of seasonal breads. Two or three years ago they released a pumpkin curry bread for October and it was soooo good. They haven’t brought it back since. I’m always on the lookout for it.
Also jagalico once released a pizza flavour item maybe around Halloween also. I only saw it once or twice.
Hot canned ginger ale from the vending machine. Don’t remember who made it but it hits the spot in winter.
I miss being able to buy a Quarter Pounder at McDonald’s here. Had it once in Japan on my first trip in 2017, and by the time I returned in 2019 it had been taken off the menu 🙁
There used to be a Sakura milk tea that Kocha Kaden used to do that was very good, but they no longer produce it.
Also McDonald’s had a Sakura-cherry soda back in the day. I guess I’m a sucker for that flavor in general.
