  1. Thx 4 posting.

A lot of people aren’t aware but the time of the event, Vader was the perfect opponent for Inoki because it happened in the middle of the NJPW / UWFI Feud.

The inter-promotionnal rivalry was so big that Inoki couldn’t have wrestled some random jabbron but at the same time Inoki couldn’t have wrestled some UWFI wrestler because he highly promoted their roster on screen.

    **Enters Vader**

Vader drew the largest crowds UWFI ever did, exchanging the Belt back and forth with Nobuhiko Takada thourough a couple of years.

He was considered a foreign talent in both companies and because of his feud with Inoki 8 years earlier he was THE Perfect Fit.

  2. I miss raucous crowds in njpw!

it’s funny to see Japanese fans in a full suit/ shirt & tie at a Tokyo dome show. much like Americans used to dress in the 20s/30s/40s etc at baseball games.

  3. Inoki’s theme and Giant Baba’s theme were always so epic. Something you may never hear because of its generation of music. The entrance itself gave me goosebumps, even through a screen. I can’t imagine being at the live crowd.

Legends like Antonio Inoki were once in a life time.

RIP Inoki, thank you for everything. 🙏
