Universal Studios Japan – When is Express Pass inventory released?


Hi all, a bit confused on how this works. I’ve read that USJ releases inventory 2 months prior. I’m trying to get an Express Pass for Dec 1. As of right now it’s Oct 1 (technically Oct 2 in Japan).

On the Japanese website ([https://www.usj.co.jp/ticket/](https://www.usj.co.jp/ticket/)) I can select Dec 1 for the *entrance* Studio Pass. But if I skip down and select one of the *Express Passes*, the subsequent calendar doesn’t allow me to scroll past Nov.

Weirdly enough, the inventory of the Japanese website is very different from Klook and [https://www.usjticketing.com/expressPass](https://www.usjticketing.com/expressPass). The English sites show November as completely out of stock, whereas the Japanese website shows November being almost wide open except for Nov 25-30.

Is Express Pass just not offered for certain parts of the year (after Nov 24?) due to low attendance? Scratching my head on this one!

  1. The English usj site and the Japanese usj site are maintained entirely separately. I did the backstage tour last time, and it was fun but the English site and their customer service team denied the tours existed.

  2. I noticed the Express 7 passes on Klook are now listed as “Sold out”, which is weird. The Express 4 passes had disappeared from the site earlier this week but have returned (but as you say, December is mostly missing)
