Mid Feb trip for 21 days, Sapporo -> Tokyo -> Kanagawa -> Nagoya -> Gifu -> Kanazawa -> Kyoto -> Osaka ->Hyogo -> Hiroshima

My wife and I are visiting Japan in February, from the 8th through the 2nd of March. We’re looking forward to mainly experience the big touristy destinations with some stuff we enjoy personally in between. Without further ado, here’s the 21 day itinerary:

Day 1: Land in New Chitose airport in Sapporo and chill out the rest of the night Possibly go check out Otaru for the otaru light festival.

Day 2 – 3: Check out the Sapporo Snow Festival

Day 4: Fly from Sapporo to Tokyo

Day 5 – 10: Do Tokyo Stuff, Crane Games, Anime shopping, Temples, Cafe hop, Go to Maid Cafe, Fish Market, Skytree, Gundam

Day 6: Head to Kanagawa and hit the Hakone open-air museum, then head to nagoya and check out the Ghibli Park.

Day 7: Head to Gifu and go to Shirakawago and then head to Kanazawa for the Omicho Market.

Day 8: From Kanazawa head to Kyoto.

Day 8 – 13: Stay in Kyoto, Check out Kinato Lab, Temples, Nishiki Market, Starbucks Ninenzaka Yasaka Chaya and Sagano Scenic Railway.

Day 14: Head to Osaka

Day 15 – 18: Stay in Osaka, check out Universal Japan, Minoo Park and Dotonbori District.

Day 19: Go to Hyogo and See Himeji Castle.

Day 20: Go to Hiroshima and go to the peace museum and then head to Iwakuni to see the Kintai Bridge and then head back to tokyo and get ready for the flight home

Day 21: Fly Home

If you have any feedback on how to best improve this itinerary or how to spend the extra time in a way that makes sense with this itinerary, please let me know! I’m eager to hear some input on this so my second time to Japan can be a memorable experience. Thank you in advance!
