Few days ago I came across a hiring brochure for various positions at rakuten. I’m interested in one of the positions but my friends said the pay (which is 5 to 7.5 mil yen) is not that great. I was wondering how much a freshman gets paid in tokyo and is 5 mil a good enough pay?

It’s great, especially compared to Japanese workers starting out. It really needs to increase a lot as you age though.
Is Rakuten paying 5-7.5m for new grads? That’s surprising as they are notoriously cheap.
