I just moved to Japan this week. Before leaving the US, I sent 4 boxes of personal belongs(with a claimed value of $1050 in total) to my hotel in Japan via USPS. Honestly, I didn’t do my homework and forgot to claim unaccompanied baggages when entering Japan. I’m wondering what will happen to my boxes? Will they get held in customs for sure? Has anyone done the same, and what’s your experience?
