1. This would be the first automobile street race of any kind in Japan, as far as I know, with the possible exception of some really small and minor karting races.

2. I almost wish they would just use a proper circuit for this if they are doing it in Ariake, a reclaimed area of Tokyo that has boring featureless roads and houses none of the historical landmarks that Tokyo has to offer (except maybe the skyline in the background)
