Unable to use VPN with my ISP

I have recently been using Japan wireless as my main internet source (portable wifi) until i could set up home internet. I recently just got internet set up in my home. the problem now is that whenever i want to connect to my VPN it works but the sites i used to be able to connect to wont let me, im guessing this isp is blocking my VPN (free versions on the microsoft app store). Its not the end of the world, but i would like to continue using a VPN to access certain sites i can in Japan. if anyone has any knowledge on this please, im all ears. if it matters, my internet company is Biglobe.

thanks!

  1. I think its more likely than whatever vpn you’re using isn’t very good if it’s a free one.

  2. Dude, you’re giving no details whatsoever, how is anyone supposed to help you?

  3. If you can open other site but not that particular site then it’s VPN side issue.
The server used when you use portable wifi probably happened to be different than the server when you use using your home internet.

Try more premium service. Like windscribe is only $2 per month if you made custom plan.

  4. Free versions of VPNs usually assign you random IP addresses from anywhere. If you’re trying to connect to sites that do geolocation filtering you probably have an IP address from a country that isn’t allowed access to the sites.
