First time in Tokyo (itinerary advice)

Hi. Plan to visit Japan in mid march/april 2023 and would be glad to receive some advice on my Tokyo itinerary. Complete noob here so have some patience 🙂

Day 0 – Arrival, get shinkansen tickets and Suica cards. Go to hotel, settle. Go for lunch around hotel. Rest and go for a night walk around the area.

Day 1 – Breakfast at hotel, go to Senso-ji, explore the area, go for lunch then go to Akihabara. Check touristic spots then walk around near neighborhoods til early Evening and have dinner around the area. Go back to hotel

Day 2 – Go to Tokyo Imperial Palace and Tokyo National Museum. Have lunch around the area. If possible go to Ueno or Yoyogi Park. At night go to a Sumo Wrestling fight. Dinner at Izakaya(Shirube, Golden Gaio or Omoide Yokocho?) and back to hotel

Day 3 – Visit Harajuku, then Square Enix Café. Maybe squeeze in Meiji Shrine and Nogi-jinja Shrine. At night go to to a Ramen place (Hakata Ramen Kazu or Tsuta Ramen?)

Day 4 – Meiji Shrine / Nogi-jinja Shrine. Would like to go for drinks at night and a Kaiseki restaurant.

Day 5 – Go to hotsprings (Hakone ?)

Day 6 – go to Nagoya (trip goes on…)

A few things I left out because Idk where to put them: Gundam Café, Shinjuku Gyoen, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree , Tokyo Big sight, teamlab Boderless, Shibuya Crossing

If you don’t plan on getting on a Shinkansen right away there really isn’t a need to buy your tickets in advance. You first goal would be just to get to your hotel as fast as possible. Also JR’s ticket office at the Airport tends to have long lines with people activating Rail Passes and looking for help.

Other than that, generally days seem fine. Hot Springs are good, depending on where you go after Nagoya you could checkout Okuhida which is near Takayama, or Kinosaki if you’re planning on going to the Kansai region
